boymaenad when spontaneously setting up this account and letting LJ's email system send a "Congratulations on your new account!" email to my inbox. Since I seem to be causing so much consternation in the LJ community by posting anon and not having access to 'friends only' posts (there goes all my "free" time!) I consent to accepting for your sakes.

And then the Russians came...so in 2016 I finally relented and transitioned kicking and screaming to Facebook.

And now in 2025 The Zuc has made FB so miserable and content so unreliable (both access to it and the truthfulness of content itself) that friends are reverting back to this format, which I always preferred. Long live the "space of my own" (rather than the other-people's-living-rooms that is Discord) that can handle embedded links, images, etc. instead of 140 characters and only one hyperlink per post!
